House of The Good Shepherd
This ministry was established in the fall of 1993 as a help ministry to men, and has now expanded to work with men, women, children and youth who were homeless, helpless and lost on the streets of Greater Vancouver, BC.
Pastor Rob McGrath, the director of this ministry, has experienced fifteen years of prison life, drug and alcohol addiction as well as other types of abuse and has experienced life at its worst on the mean streets. With the help of God he has overcome all these obstacles and is now being used by The Lord to help others overcome as well.
The purpose of this ministry is to provide counseling and a sanctuary for men away from the street, where Christian values are taught in a home-like setting. Selected individuals are helped on an as-needed basis as the Lord provides.
This ministry also believes strongly in networking and has worked directly with local street missions, recovery homes, hospital and police staff to achieve the best possible results for each & every person who comes to us seeking our help.
The prayers and donations of several interested denominations and community services as well as caring individuals support the ministry. Please help support this work as we reach out to the downcast, lost and dying, in any and every possible way.
If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to phone, write or e-mail our office and we will be happy to answer your requests.
